What is the job of a Christian?

Christians are scientists whose mission is to discover the truth about God. The laboratories at which our scientific investigation takes place are the holy places that define the escape route through the valley of tears from slavery under the yoke of Pharaoh to freedom with God and his holy family in the promised land. God built an escape route through the valley of tears , defined it with holy places, made a map of them, established a Church, entrusted the map to the Church and burdened the Church with the mission of serving the new exodus as the new Moses. The holy places are the landmarks that define the escape route. Because a Christian explores the mystery, majesty and magnificence of God at the holy places, they are prepared to answer the question, 'Who is God and how do you know him?'. A Christian practices an evidence based theology. The evidence points them in the direction of God.

Are you curious?

The Curious are Exploring the Mountain of God

The Holy Spirit is tugging at our souls and the curious are following the tug back to its source. Along the way, the curious are exploring the mystery, majesty and magnificence of God. God is the mountain. The Church is the mountain guide. We are explorers. God built an escape route from the bottom of the mountain to its top, defined the escape route with holy places, made a map of them, established a Church, entrusted the map to the Church and gave the Church the mission of helping the curious to explore the mystery, majesty and magnificence of God. The Church has the map and knows the way. For more than two thousand years, the Church has taken the curious on expeditions to explore the mountain of God. Surely, from its millennia of experience, the Church has learned a thing or two about God? During the expeditions, the Church has accumulated bits and pieces of the mystery, majesty and magnificence of God. The bits and pieces fill a treasure chest with the knowledge of God. The bits and pieces are more valuable - much more valuable - than diamonds, rubies, pearls and golden coins. But, the Church looks about it and beholds the poverty of its neighbors. The treasure chests of its neighbors are empty or nearly empty. So the Church invites you to join an expedition to the holy places and explore the mystery, majesty and magnificence of God for yourselves. The Church wants you to fill your treasure chests with bits and pieces of the mystery, majesty and magnificence of God. The Church wants you to fill your treasure chests to the brim. The Church wants you to become rich beyond your wildest dreams.
