The Goldilocks Zone

God's thought are not our thoughts. His ways are not our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9). Our predicament in the valley of tears is dire. We are in trouble. We need help. However, his conception of rescue is different than our conception of rescue. We pray to God to eliminate our crosses. God, however, does not want to eliminate them. God wants us to pick them up and carry them (Matthew 16:24-26). There is a difference in opinions. God's opinion prevails.

When crosses nail themselves to us as we pass through the valley of tears, a strategy is needed to deal with them. What strategy do you employ to deal with your crosses?

Some think power is the best strategy to deal with our crosses. Some think wealth. Some think sex. However, these are broken cistern filled with poisoned water. God established a Goldilocks zone (Goldilocks and the Three Bears) in which we need to be when we deal with our crosses. We can pick up and carry our crosses when we occupy the Goldilocks zone. In the Goldilocks zone, love is the modus operandi. Only love enables us to pick up and carry our crosses. When we love, we enter into the Goldilocks zone. Jesus hung from his cross to teach us how to hang from ours. When you hang as Jesus hung, cling as Jesus clung, love as Jesus loved. Hold tight and refuse to let go of love, suffering's invincible foe.

P.S. Love kicks suffering's ass.

For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.
— Jeremiah 2:13
But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
— John 4:14
