The Stack
In computers is the concept of the stack (Wikipedia). So, too, in Christianity. Christianity is a layer cake.
At the bottom layer, we come into intimate contact with the truth, both the sweet truth and the sour truth. We experience the truth for ourselves. This layer includes the road from the Crucifixion to the Resurrection and the Test that Jesus took there. On the road from the Crucifixion to the Resurrection, the sweet truth is revealed to us. The sour truth of the Valley of Tears is auto-didactic.
The bottom layer is the foundation that supports the top layer. No intimate contact with the truth; no movement of the children of Adam and Eve. They do not pull up the roots that they have sunk deep into the toxic soil of the Valley of Tears. They stay settlers and do not become pilgrims.
The top layer is the new Exodus. The new Exodus is making its escape through the Valley of Tears from holy place to holy place from slavery under the yoke of Pharaoh to freedom with God and his Holy Family in the promised land.
God delivers to us the gift of our creation and the gift of paradise. Both gifts were delivered to Adam and Eve simultaneously. God inserted a delay between the delivery of the gift of creation and the gift of paradise with regard to the children of Adam and Eve. Why?
