The Distribution of the Treasure of Christianity

With a revelation that he released on the road from the Crucifixion to the Resurrection, Jesus filled the gap in our knowledge of God. The revelation erupted from the violent collision between Jesus and the evil that we did to him. We baptized Jesus in a boiling pot of torture and death. He suffered and died. He forgave us as he emerged from his baptism. To know forgiveness is to know God. Forgiveness is the insight that Jesus released into the Valley of Tears on the road from the Crucifixion to the Resurrection. Our God forgave us for the evil that we did to him. The insight is the treasure of Christianity. It is the good news of great joy because forgiveness is a fruit of love. Isn't it good news that Our God loves us dearly. We get a good estimate of the size of his love for us from the size of the evil that we did to him.

Let us trace the path that the treasure of Christianity takes to get into our hands. Jesus transported the treasure of Christianity from heaven to earth. Next, he deposited it into a "bank". The "bank" into which Jesus deposited the treasure of Christianity was the road from the Crucifixion to the Resurrection. From the "bank", withdrawals are made and the revelation is distributed to the children of Adam and Eve across time and space. The vehicle for the distribution of the revelation is the Mass. The purpose of the Mass is to propagate the insight that the nature of God is forgiveness from then and there in the past to us here and now in the present (Luke 22:17-19).
