Forgive me for saying something controversial about celibacy.
Celibacy is a diabolical plot to breed the trait of religiosity out of the human race.
To make the human race less religious, what plot would the serpent hatch?
He would convince the most religious of the human race, the clergy, not to reproduce. In this way, the serpent reasons, he can breed the trait of religiosity out of existence. Religiosity will end when the most religious of them stop breeding,. When they stop breeding, they do not pass their love of God down to their offspring.
Celibacy is an example of negative eugenics.
Therefore, the serpent promotes the idea that celibacy is a virtue.
