What is the mark of faith?
To discover the mark of faith, do not look at the head. Look at the feet. Feet moving from godlessness to paradise is the mark of faith.
The mark of faith is dynamic not static.
Movement is the telltale sign.
No movement; no faith.
This is true for every religion. The movement from holy place to holy place is the mark of faith.
The content of the head does not matter as much as the movement of the feet. Get the feet moving in the right direction and everything else falls into place including the head.
Like foolish children, Adam and Eve ran away from their home with God in paradise and took us with them into godlessness. Godlessness is not a nice place. To rescue us from godlessness, God established an escape route, defined it with landmarks, made a map of them and entrusted the map to the Church. A new exodus is afoot and is now in progress led by the new Moses, the Church, on the escape route from slavery under the yoke of Pharaoh to freedom with God and their holy family in the promised land. God inserted the Exodus into our history to serve as a living and breathing allegory for our purpose in life, that is, to return to our home with God in paradise. You are invited to come home. We are making our way home and you are invited to join us.
